Two goals, over twenty years apart from different Argentinians. Each goal required the scorer to beat no less than 6 defenders with speed and footwork to finish an amazing goal. Enjoy Mardona's 1986 World Cup against England and Barcelona's Messi in Mid April.

The Goalie Scores in the EPL
Episode 2 on the Soccer Network
This weeks episode higlights an English Premiership goalie scoring a goal. The irony of the goal is that is England's #1 GK scoring on Englands #2 GK, and folks wonder why England is struggling to qualify for Euro 2008.
In the video highlight you will see Watford commit a foul deep in Tottenham's defense end of the field. Tottenham pushes everyone forward so the goalie, Paul Robinson can take the kick. He kicks the ball between 70 and 80 yards in the air. Watford's center back makes a critical mistake of letting the ball bounce near the penalty spot and Watford's GK, Ben Foster, was sheeping herding as the goal is scored. As the annoucer calls it, 'you never see a goalie score a goal'.

Goal Review - Chelsea's #5 Michael Essien
Michael Essien scored a cracker of a goal to level the score vs Aresenal late last fall. Chelsea fell behind 1 - nil and started pressing forward looking for the equalizer and really needing a win to stay in the chase for the EPL title against Man U.
Chelsea pushed the ball up the left side and worked the ball to the center of the field through Frank Lampard. The crafty midfielder had a brillant touch to avoid several Aresenal defenders as he spotted the on rushing Essien. Lampard played a perfect ball for Essien to strike - it was in the right position with the rate amount of pace. #5 strikes it with on right laces, with power and the right amount of curve.
The video highlights the unstoppable shot that swerved through the Aresenal defense and into the upper 90 of the goal. Frank Lampard actually had to dodge the shot as not to deflect it.
Aresenal was playing, prevent defense and did not have Essien accounted for coming out of the back. Ljunberg #8 for Aresenal was slow to react to the play and was unable to close the gap to block the shot.
