NBA All Star Steve Nash and former EPL and US MNT star Claudio Reyna got together with some of their famous pals for a game of street soccer. The game was a collaboration between Nash and Claudio Reyna. The game was free and helped raise money for both of their foundations. Nash, a huge soccer fan and once player, thought New York would be the perfect venue for an all-star exhibition game. “It makes sense,” to hold the event in New York, said Reyna. “We both live here. It’s an international city, and I think we showed tonight how many soccer fans we have … to have people just walk to get here, it was an easy decision.”

What looks like great defense quickly breaks down into a goal. Sweden failures to stay marked up and goal side and is slow to react to the play and movement of Russia. Nice Goal.

Croatia Classic
You have to love the follow through of the forward. He gets knocked to the ground and instead of crying for a foul he gets up and plays on for a one time cracker into the net and the win.

No Turkey Here
A stunning victory for Turkey to advance to the final eight. The Czech Republic tried to play prevent defense the last 20 minutes of the game and it cost them dearly. I never understand why teams stop playing attacking soccer in favor of the prevent defense. It rarely works and usually guarantees a tie or loss. This game is a classic example. Here is the game winner and you will see the center back try to step up to draw and offsides call.

Spain Wins in the 92nd Minute
A total defensive lapse by Sweden to lose the game. Ball watching by the center back and a failure to provide support and cover costs Sweden the game.
Sweden Ties Spain to make it 1-1 before half

The case for Instant Replay
It goals like this with technology like this that make me wonder why instant replay can not be used? It takes 20 seconds to replay it to see that this goal should not be allowed.
